THE HYDRATION TEAM:

Coca-Cola (Guam) and Foremost Foods, Inc.

I created The Hydration Team, a group of hardworking young people who shared new and existing Coca-Cola and Foremost products with customers at stores and special events. I designed the uniforms and sampling booth setup, which included interchangeable point-of-sale (POS) signs to brand the booth for specific products and other branded collateral. I managed the Hydration Team, which included recruitment, developing and presenting training programs, and handling payroll.

The success of our Hydration Team’s introduction of Quench water and Fruita fruit drinks led the products to become the official beverages of the annual Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race and the Strides for the Cure Walk/Run Event.

2018 MEET THE CANDIDATES SUPPORTING WOMEN’S ISSUES

American Association of University Women, Guam Branch

The AAUW’s annual conference was a large-scale event that featured guest speakers in an open discussion format focusing on women’s issues. The event included the first political forum of Guam’s 2018 election season where a panel of senatorial candidates running for office participated in candid discussions with the audience. My role, as the AAUW Guam VP of Communication, included booking guest speakers and media relations, copywriting, promotion, and MC-ing the event.

2018 HEALTHCARE GUBERNATORIAL FORUM

GUAM REGIONAL MEDICAL CITY (GRMC)

During the 2018 election year, I organized the hospital’s first foray into politics by hosting the Healthcare Gubernatorial Forum. I organized the event, which included official letters of invitation to each of the five teams, coordinated the location and set up, invited media and staff, and moderator.

GUAM’S MOST FAMOUS COW

Foremost Foods, Inc. (Guam)

Shauna & Chamoorita

Chamoorita, Guam’s Favorite Cow

Cindy Hanson, Marketing Executive, and Marcos Fong, Owner – Foremost Foods, Inc.

In 1979, Guam fell in love with a cow – Foremost Foods’ cheerful mascot. She charmed kids across the island, appearing in ads and school events, but for years, she didn’t have a name. That changed in the mid-80s when Foremost held a naming contest in public elementary schools. The winner? A young girl named Shauna, who dubbed her Chamoorita—a playful twist on the word Chamorrita, meaning a young CHamoru girl.

Years later, while exploring a warehouse at Foremost’s current location, I came across Chamoorita tucked away and seemingly forgotten. Like most “kids” my age, I’d grown up with her.I knew she belonged at the front of the building again. After a spiffing up, Chamoorita was proudly reinstalled at the company’s entrance. To celebrate her return, I organized an unveiling with island dignitaries, media, and one very special guest – Shauna. Now a mom, she smiled and said, “We all grew up with Chamoorita.” And she was right.
